“A Cowboy Concert” goes to San Pedro de Macorís and will bring out the National Theater orchestra for the first time

“A cowboy concert” will be presented on Sunday 21 at 11 am at the Astin Jacob Fe y Alegría Educational Center in Arts, in San Pedro de Macorís, reported the General and Artistic Directorate of the Eduardo Brito National Theater.

This concert, which is part of the cultural quota and compliance with the work plan of this administration, will be held with the Eduardo Brito National Theater Symphony Orchestra, will be under the direction of maestro Dante Cucurullo, this being the first presentation of the Orquesta del National Theater outside its facilities.

“We invite the whole family as well as students of private and public educational centers from the seven years of that province, the Government and municipal authorities to enjoy this thematic, educational and interactive concert with allegorical themes to the West that will include explanations of the director of the Orchestra, maestro Cucurullo “, it was indicated.

The program to be performed will consist of works by Richard Meyer, Aaron Copland, Elmer Bernstein, Leroy Anderson, Johan Strauss, J Offenbach, and G. Rossini.

This free concert is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, the Friends of the National Theater Foundation and the Reserve Bank, and will be open to the public, with limited capacity while supplies last, always counting on the measures established by the authorities of the Ministry of Education. Public Health, as well as compliance with the sanitary protocol, mandatory use of masks, social distancing, application of hydrogel and taking temperature to all attendees, for the prevention of Covid-19.
