AMLO asks Bad Bunny for a free concert in Mexico after ticket scam: “This is how he claims”

This Wednesday the 14th, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) current president of Mexico asked the Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny a free concert in the country for the thousands of fans, especially for the people who were scammed in ticket sales.

“I know you are exhausted and tired because you work a lot, but I ask you to consider the possibility of coming to Mexico, to the Zócalo. I hope he comes, we can’t pay him. It would have to be a collaboration of his, ”he said in his morning conference, which he does daily.

This request arose because of the controversy with Ticketmaster and the cloning of tickets for the artist’s recent show at the Azteca Stadium. López Obrador revealed that seeing hundreds of people “sad for not entering” “produced feelings.”

As reported by Ricardo Sheffield, head of Mexico’s Federal Consumer Attorney’s Office, last week, around 2,000 tickets had been cloned. Previously, similar cases have already been reported, but it was the first time that the figures were extremely high.

Despite what happened, the president acknowledges that it is not the singer’s fault, but rather the ticket sellers. In any case, he believes that he should accept the proposal to hold the concert. “It would be very good, very good, and for all the young people who do not have the possibility to do so to enter, and that is how they claim it,” he added.

AMLO even provided a space to highlight Bad Bunny’s profile and defined him as a “sensitive young man” who “has many followers” and “is a global phenomenon, but also has a social dimension.”

Taking into account that the event would be free, the president promised to support with the scenery under the appropriate conditions. “We take care of the stage and the lights, of course, not so spectacular…, because I saw that it flew off a palm tree, and that cannot be done here. We can put a zip line on it. We can place that one, ”he explained.
