Arajet presents its destinations

Happiness is not bought with money, but with it you can buy air tickets, which makes us happy. Thus began his speech Víctor Pacheco, president of the Dominican airline Arajetduring the destination launch and sales opening meeting, which was held at the El Embajador hotel.

The concept with which it arrives is marked by low prices. “We are going to have rates never seen before in our country. Starting in September of this year, we will begin the journey to convert the Las Américas International Airport into the new Caribbean Air Hub; that allows us to connect the continent at the lowest cost, world-class services and with the newest and most efficient aircraft on the market”.

20 destinations in the first three months

The first flight will be on September 15 to Mexico City; Monterey and Cancun. Starting today, it will also fly to Barranquilla, Cali and Cartagena in Colombia; Quito and Gayaquil, in Ecuador; Lima in Peru; Guatemala City, San Salvador, San Martin, Aruba and Curaçao. Starting in October, flights to Toronto and Montreal, in Canada, will be added; Medellin and Bogota, in Colombia; San Jose in Costa Rica; and Kingston Jamaica. Work is underway to get permission to fly to the United States.

Álvaro de Óleo, VP of marketing for Arajet, presented the communication strategy, which he confessed was very challenging because he sought to connect with people from all parts of the DR, regardless of whether they are from Boca Chica, Los Mina, Naco, Santiago, Herrera or Arroyo Hondo. “With all the Dominicans who had that desire for decades to have an airline that takes care of them, understands them and treats them well… for that we made a very important call, which is very local, spontaneous, which opens the skies to Dominicans but that also invites the outsider to us… a call to know, to fly, to enjoy, to explore and to get the best of the Dominican Republic: Dominicans let’s go!

“Today I see the dream of a young Dominican who persisted for years and today is a reality” David Collado Minister of Tourism

The Minister of Tourism, David Collado, was present and addressed a few words to those present; among which he assured that the Dominican Republic has recovered tourism and the Central Bank supported him in a statement, in which he stressed that the country’s macroeconomic stability is due to the rapid recovery of tourism. “The World Tourism Organization physically came here to recognize the Dominican Government for its handling during the pandemic and being the number one country in 2021 in the recovery of tourism.”

An experience from arrival

In Arajet everything is designed so that the experience begins from the arrival; especially when the client makes contact with the airline staff, since the wardrobe was designed for such purposes, thanks to the talent of Reading Pantaleón, an internationally recognized Dominican fashion designer, who was in charge of the demanding task.

In addition to representing the corporate identity of the company, Pantaleón combined his passion for fashion and travel. “I want that through these designs Arajet represent, with your crew, the warmth, that service and that overwhelming and sparkling personality that characterizes Dominicans; that when they see them they say they are Dominicans”, expressed the designer through an audiovisual that was projected at the beginning of the protocol part of the event.

Followed by a brief parade in which the varied clothing that stands out for projecting fresh, comfortable and elegant was appreciated.
