Are they well paid? The salary that referees receive for directing in Peruvian soccer

Being a soccer referee is one of the toughest professions in the world. A single charge that could harm the local team, casually or intentionally, could mark the race and lead to rejection and criticism not only from the fans, but also from sports journalism.

This has been seen over the years and it doesn’t look like it’s going to be any different, even with the implementation of technology such as Hawkeye and Video Assistant Referee (VAR).

However, many fans of the beautiful game will ask themselves, how much does a referee earn in Peru? Know the answer in the following lines.

According to the information published by Líbero, a referee of our soccer does not have a monthly salary, as it happens in other countries of the world; but rather they win by game won.

The source indicates that main referees receive between 2,000 and 3,000 soles without taking travel expenses into account. Secondly, line judges receive between 1,500 and 2,000 soles all this is for receipts for fees that they issue to Conar.

If we calculate, a judge directs up to four monthly games, for which he would take 12,000 soles.

It should be clarified that it does not influence where he directs: League 1, League 2 or Copa Peru. The only factor for the pay to be higher or lower is whether you are registered with FIFA or not.
