On Wednesday, November 23, it was confirmed that the second concert that Juan Luis Guerra was going to perform in the city of Lima was cancelled. This is because the municipality of Surco closed the Arena Perú. This was stated by Ronald Rojas, head of Inspection of the Santiago de Surco district.

According to what was mentioned by Rojas, the organizers of the concert of Juan Luis Guerra in Peru they had permission to let 9,000 people into Arena Perú. However, this was not respected, since at the end of the show it was found that there were more than 14,000 people inside the venue.

The head of Inspection of the Santiago de Surco district explained that the closure of the premises occurred because the permitted capacity was exceeded at the first concert by Juan Luis Guerra and, consequently, the integrity of the public was put at risk.

“They have accumulated more than one penalty, especially for putting people’s lives at risk in yesterday’s event and what could happen today. We want to avoid imminent danger with so many people at this event,” she detailed.
