Bob Saget’s preliminary autopsy rules out a violent death or drug abuse

Bob Saget, an actor best known for his role as Danny Tanner on the series Forced Parents, has surprisingly died at age 65. His body was found dead in a room at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Orlando, Florida on January 9.

And although the cause of his death is unknown at the moment, the first details of the interpreter’s autopsy have already come to light.

The Orange and Osceola County Medical Examiner’s Office released a statement on January 10 disclosing the data. “This morning an autopsy was performed on Robert Lane Saget. Mr. Saget is a 65-year-old man who was found unconscious in his hotel room. There is currently no evidence of drug abuse or criminal action.

The cause of death is pending further tests and investigations that will last between 10 and 12 weeks, “reads the text.

“When the autopsy is complete, a continuation of the statement will be published. We send our condolences to the loved ones of Mr. Saget at this difficult time,” the statement added.

Saget had performed on Saturday January 8 at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall as part of his comedy tour I Don’t Do Negative. The tour was scheduled to run until next June.

The comedian had to leave his room at the Ritz-Carlton hotel on Sunday, January 9, but his family could not contact him that day. The establishment’s security team did a check and found Saget unconscious on the bed, with his left arm on his chest and his right arm resting on the bed. The actor was pronounced dead in the room by the doctors who came after the notice of the hotel employees.
