ChatGPT would come to Word, PowerPoint and Outlook to write emails or texts in your place

Microsoft the technology giant could use the capabilities of GPT, the language model on which it is based ChatGPT for the applications of office 365. As The Information points out, the company founded by Bill Gates is carrying out integration tests with artificial intelligence in Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

In the case of Outlook, with GPT you could improve the search results of emails to find a specific one without having to start with the keyword. In this way, it will only be necessary to write part of the context and the email you need will be found quickly.

The service may also suggest responses or compose messages. For example, if you ask it to write an email explaining that you are sick, the technology will create a text that will justify your absence at work, for example.

With respect to Word, it would be possible for users to write a brief description of what they would like to have in their texts so that the system can create the rest of the content without your intervention.

With PowerPoint, they are thinking of taking advantage of DALL-E, another AI that is trained to create images based on information extracted from virtual meetings.

These ideas have been executed in internal tests, so it has not yet been made official if Microsoft is going to incorporate them into its programs. What is known is that, at the moment, the current version of ChatGPT is not very accurate in providing certain answers.

They also have issues around privacy, so they are already working on customizing GPT-3 and GPT-4, which would be launched this year, to work without compromising customers’ personal data.
