The price of the dollar of the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) has already been updated in the Caribbean country, where the regime of Nicolás Maduro opted for this official rate after years in which it avoided disclosing macroeconomic figures, which produced a large parallel market.
DolarToday is the main diffuser of the parallel market that generally has a higher price than the official one; Monitor Dollar is another highly reviewed portal, especially on Twitter and Instagram. Given this, the Nicolás Maduro regime authorized the BCV rate.
The exchange rate published by the BCV is the weighted average that results from the daily operations of the active exchange desks of the participating banking institutions.

One dollar is equivalent to 4,524,300.00 bolivars, according to the Central Bank of Venezuela.
The BCV publishes almost daily the official rate of the dollar, but also of other currencies such as euros (5 131 325.33 Bs.), Yuan (0.70747458), Turkish lira (0.44051237) and rubles (0.06165887 bolivars ).
Monitor Dollar web woke up with a price of 4.66 per US currency.
