Dollar BCV today, Friday 19: price of the dollar in the Central Bank of Venezuela

The Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) presented this Friday the price of the dollar, which will be updated during the afternoon. This is the official rate authorized by the Nicolas Maduro to counteract the parallel market, born after the first exchange control measures. This Sunday, November 21, the regional elections will be held in Venezuela in which a part of the opposition will participate again since 2018.

After 15 years of absence from the international missions, this Sunday the electoral elections will have observers from the European Union. Likewise, the opposition to the Government of Nicolás Maduro will participate in the contest, something it has not done since 2018.

In the regional elections in Venezuela, 23 governors, 335 mayors, 253 legislators from the Legislative Councils and 2,471 municipal councilors are expected to be elected. There are about 3,000 positions that are at stake and the opposition arrived fragmented.

The exchange rate published by the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) is the weighted average that results from the daily operations of the active exchange desks of the participating banking institutions.

One dollar is equivalent to 4,586 10,000 bolivars, according to the latest update from the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV).

The BCV reports the official price of the dollar, but also of other currencies valued by Maduro’s financial team for various activities. One euro is trading at Bs. 5 201 55462, a yuan at 0.71825030, a Turkish lira at 0.41576387 and a ruble at 0.06271684 bolivars.
