The Dominican designer Génesis Ruiz has joined Shein to launch a collection inspired by the Caribbean fall. The proposal is part of Shein X, a program by the Chinese retailer that provides independent designers with a platform to create daring designs that are true to themselves without worrying about the commerciality and competitiveness of the industry of the fashion.
Since its launch in January 2021, Shein X has partnered with more than 200 designers from around the world, including the United States, Canada, France, Spain, Australia, and now the Dominican Republic.

For this special proposal, Shein X had the creativity of Génesis Ruiz, who created a collection for the autumn-winter season inspired by the tropical touch that characterizes the Caribbean countries.
“It has been an incredible opportunity to be able to place my name on one of the most relevant platforms for the purchase of articles from fashion Worldwide. Although my brand GR is fresher and more summery, because it is inspired by my beautiful island where summer is all year round, for me it was exciting and fun to create pieces for fall without losing my essence ”, says the designer.
