The documentary in development, “Scarlet Girls” by the Dominican filmmaker Paula Cury was presented to producers, sales agents and other professionals in the film industry at the “DOK Leipzig” Documentary Film Festival that took place in the city of Leipzig, Germany.

The call “DOK Co-Pro Market”Annually selects 35 projects to participate in the market, from more than 200 applications. “Our feature documentary in development,” Scarlet Girls “produced by the production house Cristal Cine, was one of the selected projects. “Scarlet Girls” won the Film Promotion Fund contest in the production category.

The documentary seeks to portray the experiences of women who have aborted in the Dominican Republic. In April of this year, Cristal Cine launched a campaign inviting young people and women around the country to share their confidential testimonies through a form found on @CristalCine social networks, including Instagram, Facebook and Twitte.
