One of the advantages of this method is that it does not require the installation of additional programs or complex configurations. In fact, sharing our phone’s connection with other devices such as laptops or tablets is a simple task that we can do in a few minutes. In the following paragraphs we explain how to do it.
Share internet via Wi-Fi
Many cell phones allow you to create a Wi-Fi access point through the “Wi-Fi Hotspot” or “Wi-Fi Hotspot” option. In this way, you will be able to connect to the Internet through your mobile data plan and share the connection with other nearby devices. To do so, you just need to follow these steps:
- Enter the configuration or settings of your mobile
- Access the Networks and Internet section
- Click on Tethering
- Click on Wi-Fi hotspot
- Then, set up the Wi-Fi access point
- Finally, turn on the Wi-Fi hotspot
- And ready. You can now connect your laptop to your cell phone’s Wi-Fi hotspot.
Internet sharing via USB
Another option is to connect your phone to your laptop via a USB cable and share the connection through the USB network connection. To do this, you must connect your cell phone to the laptop via a USB cable, and follow the instructions below:
- Go to settings on your mobile phone
- Click on Internet and networks.
- Then go to Wi-Fi hotspot and connection
- Select Portable Wi-Fi hotspot.
- Now click on USB connection.
