FPF: Lozano will face trial for alleged crimes of incompatible negotiation and ideological falsehood

A new problem is coming for Agustín Lozano. The Tenth Unipersonal Criminal Court of Chiclayo scheduled an oral trial hearing against the current president of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) for the alleged crimes of incompatible negotiation and ideological falsehood.

This will take place in person on March 31, 2022 in the city of Chiclayo. This information was released through a resolution by Judge Carlos Larios Manay, published on November 11, 2021.

Schedule the oral trial hearing in the present case against Agustin Lozano Saavedra as the author of the crime against the public administration in the incompatible negotiation modality or improper use of the position provided for in article 399 of the Penal Code and, ideally, the crime against public faith in the form of ideological falsehood provided for in article 428, first paragraph of the Penal Code, to the detriment of the State – District Municipality of Chongoyape, ”he specified in said legal document.

Agustín Lozano has been questioned for his management at the head of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF). The last controversy that was generated was due to the approval of the new statutes of this entity.

Lima Alliance Sporting Cristal and FBC Melgar issued a press release in which they indicated that they will challenge this decision before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS) for a series of irregularities committed in the Assembly of Bases.

“We express our opposition to all the agreements made at the meeting today, October 22, 2021, and we inform that we will proceed to challenge said agreements before the CAS and initiate all pertinent legal actions,” said the three clubs in said document.
