Lenovo launches its new eco-friendly ThinkPad Z13 and Z16 laptops made with recycled aluminum

Taking care of the environment has become very important for companies that manufacture electronic devices. Apple and Samsung, for example, decided to stop including chargers in their equipment, an initiative that could be implemented by other brands such as Oppo and Xiaomi.

Not only smartphones seek to be more eco-friendly products, but also laptops that are now being built with recycled materials. A clear example is the ThinkPad Z13 Y ThinkPad Z16 two premium laptops that Lenovo has just introduced in Peru.

As revealed by Lenovo, both devices have been manufactured with recycled aluminum even one of them (the ThinkPad Z13) can be found with a vegan leather finish. In the packaging we do not find any plastic, instead there are several boxes made of bamboo and sugar cane.

The ThinkPad Z13 It has a 13-inch screen that has a WUXGA resolution (1920 x1200 p). Inside, we have the AMD Ryzen ™ 7 PRO 6860Z3 processor, 2nd generation RDNA integrated graphics, 32 GB of RAM and a 512 GB solid state drive (SSD).

Autonomy is something important for users. For this reason, Lenovo ensures that this laptop has a battery that can last up to 15 hours of use; however, this time can be less, since it will depend a lot on what you are doing with the computer.

For its part, the ThinkPad Z16 It features a 13-inch WUXGA resolution display, an AMD Ryzen Pro processor, AMD Radeon RX 6500M discrete graphics, 32GB of RAM, and a 1TB solid-state drive. The battery, according to the manufacturer, can last up to 12 hours.

It is worth noting that both devices have a fingerprint reader on the keyboard and a red button that, when pressed three times, allows users to make some changes such as increasing or decreasing the brightness and contrast, or setting the microphone to just recognize your voice.
