The Puerto Rican singer Melina Leon will be among the international figures that will perform at the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, which between March and June will offer a series of concerts by renowned artists, reported this Wednesday Mundo de Walt Disney.
The interpreter of songs such as “Mujeres Liberadas” and “Me Voy de Fiesta” will take the stage of the American Gardens Theater, in the aforementioned Disney theme park located in central Florida, on March 11 and 12, in which it will be his debut at this festival.
Among the artists who will perform at the concerts from the Garden Rocks, which are part of the festival that takes place during the spring months, also features the Brazilian singer Claudia Leitte, who will also make her debut at this event.
In addition to local musicians and bands, the list of artists that will be part of the program includes soloists and groups such as Kool & The Gang, The Guess Who, Simple Plan, Rick Springfield, The Pointer Sisters, Berlin and A Flock Of Seagulls.
During the months of the festival, the Epcot theme park will be covered with flowers and topiaries of iconic Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and various activities have been scheduled, according to Mundo de Walt Disney.
This year, the festival is part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of Mundo de Walt Disney, which began in October 2021 and extend over 18 months also at Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme parks, all located in Florida.
On the occasion of these golden jubilees, Epcot Park, opened in 1982, underwent a remodel to make it “more Disney, timeless, relevant and familiar,” as Bob Chapek, Disney’s chief executive officer, said last year.
