Percy Prado leaves Sporting Cristal after playing just 5 games in League 1

This Wednesday, January 5, Sporting Cristal made official the departure of Percy Prado, a player who came under the spotlight in 2021 for his training in France and went through the League 1 with the Nantes. However, the right-back did not make a difference in the Rimense cast and this was reflected in the low productivity.

“The Sporting Cristal club and the footballer Percy Prado have agreed to terminate the contractual relationship between both parties. The institution thanks him and wishes him many successes in his future ”, says the message shared by the Rimense institution.

The 25-year-old player came to play just five games, adding a total of 251 minutes of play in all of 2021. He had no participation in the Libertadores Cup nor in the South American.

With the number 28, he started four times and did not score. His little action with the light blue clothing was due to his physical condition. In March of the previous year, Roberto Mosquera himself put in evidence this personal debt on the part of the footballer.

“With Percy Prado we had to do a special job because he was overweight. There is no way we can put a player who is injured or who is not at 100% of his capacities ”, said the technical director that time at a press conference.

It is worth mentioning that Percy Prado was formed in the minor divisions of Nantes, a French soccer club. Then the reserve team passed, with which the Championnat National 2 (French fourth division) played. In January 2020 he debuted in the League 1, where he accumulated 184 minutes of play in the highest category of French football.
