The Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) has the dollar price for today, Friday, January 7, when it is expected to be updated in the afternoon for next week, a day after an unusual electoral campaign closed in Barinas.
The elections represent a controversial repetition ordered by the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), which annulled the results of November 21, when the opposition Freddy Superlano defeated the then candidate for reelection, Argenis Chávez, Hugo Chávez’s brother , who presided Venezuela from 1999 until his death in 2013.
The official candidate and former minister of the late president, Jorge Arreaza; Sergio Garrido, elected by the opposition Democratic Unity Table (MUD), who replaced Superlano when the Supreme Court affirmed that he is disqualified; and Claudio Fermín, considered a dissident of the opposition by the majority anti-Chavez bloc, are the main candidates.
The exchange rate published by the BCV is the weighted average that results from the daily operations of the active exchange desks of the participating banking institutions.
The BCV value date is this Friday, January 7, 2022.
One dollar is equivalent to 4.62210000 bolivars, according to the Central Bank of Venezuela.
The BCV publishes the price of the dollar, as well as other currencies such as euros (5.22805731 bolivars), yuan (0.72416062), Turkish lira (0.33405993) and ruble (0.06019378 Bs.).
The price of the dollar dawned at 4.92, according to the DolarToday website.
