The Quiniela de la Ciudad or Quiniela Nacional is the most popular game of chance in Argentina and one of the most traditional. Unlike others, it does not have an accumulated jackpot, but rather the prize is directly related to the amount and position of the numbers bet.

The drawing of the numbers is carried out in the rooms of the Lottery of the City of Buenos Aires -for the Federal Capital- and in the Rooms of the Lottery of the Province -for Buenos Aires-. Four bolilleros are used that will make up the different numbers, the first corresponds to the thousand, the second to the hundred, the third to the ten and the fourth to the unit.

Each of these pockets has 10 balls (these balls have numbers from 0 to 9) and a fifth pocket that will make up the different locations on the board (this has twenty balls that go from 1 to 20, corresponding to the twenty positions on the board).

The National and Provincial Quiniela is played every day from Monday to Saturday and there are five draws per day. The Preview is drawn at 10:15 a.m., then the First at 12:00 p.m., the Morning at 3:00 p.m., then the Evening at 4:00 p.m., and finally the Night at 9:00 p.m.
