South Africa: young woman finds human parts in boyfriend’s fridge

A 20-year-old woman reported the discovery of human limbs in the refrigerator of her boyfriend, whom she met for the first time in person after meeting on Facebook. According to the reports, the incident was registered last Friday, November 12, and the parts belonged to another woman.

The man, identified as Flavio Hlabangwane The 26-year-old was arrested and appeared in court a week after the incident. However, the case was postponed to Monday, November 22.

Investigations suggest that the victim of the alleged femicide would be his cousin, with whom he would have had a romantic but stormy relationship. Tshenolo pitse the young woman’s sister, told a local media that the couple had been in a relationship for five years and that Flavio abused her constantly.

He even claimed that on more than one occasion he threatened to take a protection order against his sister.

“The relationship was very violent because there were some moments when every time I called my sister, he told me that Flavio would choose what he would wear and control where he went,” he explained to SAFM.

The alleged victim, with the initials TP, is currently missing. However, the police have found his identification in the room that Flavio rents, which will serve as evidence against the case that will be discussed on November 22.
