Taylor Swift: Ticket sales for the “Eras tour” were canceled due to extreme demand

Ticketmaster is canceling the general public sale for the “Eras tour” of Taylor Swift due to extraordinarily high demands on ticketing systems. The sudden cancellation comes after fans of the American singer caused a near collapse of the company’s website.

Via social media, Ticketmaster reported: “Due to extraordinarily high demands on ticketing systems and insufficient remaining ticket inventory to meet that demand, tomorrow’s public sale for Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ has been cancelled.”

Ticketmaster explained that a “record number of fans” wanted to purchase tickets for Taylor Swift’s “Eras tour,” which begins next year. That caused a massive slowdown on her platform and consequently outrage among her millions of fans, who couldn’t buy her tickets.

The company explained that its “verified fans” system, a mechanism meant to kill bots that give people pre-sale codes, couldn’t keep up with intense demand.

Approximately 3.5 million people signed up for the program to buy tickets for Taylor Swift his “greatest record in history”.

Swift’s “Eras Tour,” announced shortly after the release of her “Midnights” album, is scheduled to kick off on March 17, 2023 in Glendale, Arizona, with 50 dates planned through August 2023.

Tickets for the “Eras” tour are priced from $49 to $450, with VIP packages from $199 to $899.
