They arrest a man who forced his children to ask for alms and assaulted them if they did not carry money

A man was arrested by the Police in Argentina because he forced his children to beg along with two other young people who were on the streets. The incident occurred after 14 simultaneous raids in which 20 adult victims of sexual exploitation were rescued.

In addition to the man, the officers arrested three subjects and a woman, after raiding Lomas de Zamora, Berazategui, Quilmes, Avellaneda, Mar del Plata, La Matanza, Morón and San Martín.

According to police sources, the children had injuries from the father’s attacks when the minors did not carry money. The other people rescued from sexual exploitation in the raids are between 14 and 44 years old. They are all from Argentina.

The coordination and execution were carried out by the Trafficking Division of the Buenos Aires police, the Division of the Federal Police of Argentina, the Avellaneda delegation and the National Gendarmerie.

In the South American country, the inspection, detection and reporting of the crime of human trafficking are carried out by the Directorate for the Inspection of Child Labor, Adolescent Labor and Indications of Labor Exploitation, framed in the National Plan 2020-2022, which seeks prevention , early detection and assistance.

According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office (MPF), in Argentina, between 2012 and 2022, 20,257 complaints of human trafficking were made. From January to June 2022, 528 victims were rescued.
