They commemorate the ninth anniversary of the death of Hugo Chávez

On March 5, the Venezuelan authorities commemorated the 9th anniversary of the death of Hugo Chavez who served as president of this country from 1998 to 2013.

Chavismo carried out various commemorative activities to remember the so-called leader of the “Bolivarian revolution”. Relatives of the former president and members of the Government of Nicolás Maduro led the tribute that was held at the Cuartel de la Montaña in Caracas, Venezuela.

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro highlighted on his Twitter account that Chávez “is and will always be synonymous with deep love, hope, loyalty and victory.”

“We honor him with daily actions that protect the Venezuelan people. Long live the legacy of the commander! Maduro said.

Outside of Venezuela, they also paid tribute to Hugo Chávez, who died on March 5, 2013 of cancer.

The Sandinista deputies before the National Assembly (Parliament) of Nicaragua and workers of that state power commemorated last Saturday in Managua the ninth anniversary of the death of former Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez (1954-2013).

This included a political-cultural event held in the Rubén Darío room of the Nicaraguan Parliament, where a tribute was paid to Chávez. The Sandinista legislators also laid flowers at the monument in honor of the late Venezuelan leader, in the old center of Managua, on Avenida De Bolívar a Chávez.

“Chavez is not nine years old (dead). Chavez is here. Chávez is present in Latin America. Chavez is in the fight. Nine years ago he was immortalized, but Chávez is still alive in the struggle in Latin America, he is still alive in the world’s struggle for peace, for sovereignty, for self-determination, for Latin American and Caribbean unity,” the head of the ruling party parliamentary group, Edwin Castro.

“We are paying a tribute of affection, love and respect to the eternal commander, to Commander Chávez, who taught us that the north is in the south and that revolutions must be defended no matter what, and he was consistent with that effort,” For his part, legislator Wilfredo Navaro, an ally of the Sandinistas, pointed out.

The questioned Venezuelan president, Nicholas Maduro announced on Thursday, March 3, the increase in the minimum wage by half a petro, equivalent to 126 bolívares per month, about 30 dollars according to the official rate of the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV).

“You propose that the base minimum wage for workers be set at half a petro. Passed! I agree, and that this impacts all the salary tables upwards, ”said Maduro during a speech broadcast through the state channel, Venezolana de Televisión.

The new minimum wage rose to 28.97 dollars, based on the official BCV rate. Maduro explained that this increase will take effect from this month.
