Trasatlántico is presented at the art week of Zona Maco

Jorge Brown and Alban Roger, creative directors of Galerie Philia, will present their new Trasatlántico project: an exhibition of design pieces in Mexico City during Zona Maco, which seeks to highlight Latin American designersfrom Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic.

This exhibition, which will take place from February 8 to 12 in Mexico City, is made possible thanks to the collaboration of Galerie Philia with House of Kirschner, who see art as a means to transcend social, cultural and geographical borders, using the design to unite Latin American and European discourses and influences within the same creative sphere.

In this first edition of Trasatlántico, the Dominican Republic is represented by Casa Alfarera and RRRes. Jorge Brown aims to present the design production of the Dominican talent in these international meeting spaces, and hopes to be able to celebrate this type of activity in the country in the future to build the path that will make the Dominican Republic a benchmark for good design in the Caribbean.

Transatlántico celebrates art as a means to transcend social, cultural, and geographic borders, using design to unite Latin American and European discourses and influences within the creative sphere.
