Tries to jump the New York subway pinwheel, breaks his neck and dies

An act of supposed vividness ended in tragedy in the subway in New York, a city in the United States. A 28-year-old broke his neck while trying to jump the pinwheel to avoid paying the regular fee.

The recording that recorded the situation shows the Latino boy repeating the action a couple of times, until it cost him his life.

The deceased was identified as Christopher de la Cruz. The unfortunate incident took place at the Forest Hills-71st Avenue train station in Queens, around 6.45 am (local time) last Sunday, the New York Post reported.

According to the video sequence released, the victim, who was wearing a backpack, tried unsuccessfully to jump the windlass until he lost his balance on the last attempt. De la Cruz fell headlong and broke his neck.

Christopher’s lifeless body was found at the scene minutes later by security agents, who immediately called local medical services.

The health personnel declared the young man dead at the train station, detailed the New York Post.

The circumstances of the event are still under investigation by the authorities. It is not clear if the young man had any limitations that could have affected his movement or caused some disability in his movements.

The fee has a cost of $ 2.75. According to the US media, one in eight passengers evade the turnstiles without paying on the subways of the economic heart of the nation.
