The first edition of the talent platform The Buchanan’s Studio in alliance with FAMA Studio, which will allow aspiring and emerging artists of the urban genre to develop their career in the industry, will be held on-site auditions from April 19 to 21, from 2:00 to 10:00 pm, at Fama Studio, located at Macorís street no. 4, Colonial City, Santo Domingo, National District.
Led by the prominent artist and music producer Beatz Akademy, the exponents of the music Urbana will present their proposals to a jury, who will evaluate them.
The 10 selected participants with the greatest potential will be selected
in the auditions to participate in the Bootcamp. There will be the participation of artists who will be able to tell their story and experience to these participants to motivate them and prepare them to promote their artistic career.
A final selection will be made of the three best artists who will have the opportunity to produce their first demo together with Beatz Akademy.
Together with Beatz Akademy and at the FAMA Studio facilities, the participants will live a great experience in terms of their training, as well as the mastery of techniques that will contribute to their artistic training.
“Buchanan’s is a brand whose purpose is to celebrate and embrace all that we are, and under that premise, we know that there is a lot of talent everywhere. In addition, we are a brand that in many countries has been associated with great talents in the music urban, to show the greatness of those artists and the genre, so it is only natural that the next step is to showcase and help new talents who have not been able to make their dream come true”, said Karen Alamo, Culture Manager and Diageo Influencers for Central America and the Caribbean.
Referring to the project, Beatz Akademy praised the initiative.
“It is a great initiative that young Dominicans receive this support and that they can not only record their songs, but also the accompaniment in the development of strategies so that their creations can reach the national and international public,” said Beatz Akademy.
Beatz Akademy has had recent success co-writing and co-producing the new Farruko + Maestro single “In Love with Money” as well as co-writing and co-producing “Dec. 21″ from Royce’s recent double album ALTER EGO.
Last year he returned to the Dominican Republic to record a Dominican-inspired album, as well as give back to the community, recording not only with great artists, but also helping to guide a new generation.
