What happened to the ‘University of Porn’ founded in Colombia, the first in the world?

Amaranth Hank is a renowned journalist and porn actress who, despite the decision to retire from adult cinema, has maintained a close link to the world of adult content.

His real name is Alejandra Omana Ruiz and in July 2019 he retired from porn cinema, but by May of that year he had already launched the ‘Porn University’, a project that quickly went viral and went around the world.

In the following note you will find out what happened to the ‘University of Porn’, the first in the world, and what subjects are taught.

The school started classes in 2019, in which they offered, together with the porn actor Ramon Nomar live lectures and practices. The conferences touched on topics such as the porn industry in Colombia, the United States and Europe, monetization, production, costs, etc.

Some of the talks were I am a porn actress in a macho society, How to make the perfect porn scene, How to make productions profitable or False producers and abusive producers.

“The idea came after receiving several messages daily from people who confessed that they were tired of their work routine and their desire to become porn stars or enter the business,” Hank told the British newspaper The Sun.

“(The school) has been very well received and is still in force because there is a lot of demand —he had assured Hank to El Tiempo when the University opened its doors. Every day someone who wants to be a porn actor is born, every blessed day of my life people who want to be in the industry write to me.”

“We explain to them what is there and what isn’t so that they position themselves well within the pornography space, so that they have a real image and not the traditional ideas of ‘I become a ‘rockstar’ with a big penis and all women they throw themselves at me’”, he stressed Hank.

Amaranta said that one of the most important issues was how to work with foreign producers, since many “tend to take advantage of Colombian women.”

In interview with The Republic Amaranta Hank said that, since the creation of the space, they have taught around 12 courses. This year there were no courses; however, she advanced that “in November it is very likely that we will do it.” On the other hand, she also clarified that “it is not a physical space, but a cycle of conferences that are held in various cities.”

“The initial idea is to give them a grounded vision of what they can do in the industry, so that they are not victims of scams,” he said. “Latino porn is being produced much more than before. Some production companies need a class on professional ethics, but others are doing a great job,” he continued.

Lecture cycles last two days and are priced at $30. People ask daily how they can be porn actors, according to Amaranta. Likewise, she assured that, at the end of the course, each participant receives a symbolic recognition. He also pointed out that when there is a course, between 80 and 100 people participate, who are mostly men.

“Respect for the actors before, during and after filming, that’s the most important thing,” he clarified. Hank. “Not to subject them to abusive practices, to actions they don’t want to do, or trick them into doing actions that are not necessary or correct,” she added. Finally, the journalist announced that in October she will be in Argentina.
